Edge Tactical Rolling Thunder ballistic glasses have an integrated brow guard, an adjustable nosepiece and thin telescoping temples. You can adjust the length of the temples to fit your head.
Rolling Thunder is tested to MIL-PRF 32432 and ANSI Z87.1+ standards in an independently accredited lab. It's also tested and recommended by the NTOA (National Tactical Officers Association).
Vapor Shield keeps the lenses from fogging up in heat, cold and humidity. Wear prescription glasses? Rolling Thunder works with third-party Rx carriers, which mount prescription lenses on the inside of the lens.
Lens Options
Clear
The classic choice for safety glasses. Clear and distortion-free lenses work best indoors or in low-light conditions.
Light transmission: 85%
G-15
Developed by the U.S. Air Force in the 1930s, this lens transmits green and yellow light (wavelengths more easily perceived by humans) for optimal color differentiation. This reduces eye strain and helps in detecting environmental details. These work best when it is very sunny.
Light transmission: 15%
Yellow
Yellow lenses boost contrast when light is low or flat, such as at dusk, in fog or on overcast days.
Vapor Shield
Vapor Shield is a permanent anti-fog coating with impressive claims. Based on our own tests, there is some merit to these claims. In lab conditions, the lenses passed the following tests without fogging:
- Exposed to -42°C / -44°F for 15 minutes
- Moved from -42°C to 24°C / -44°F to 76°F
- Moved from 24°C to -42°C / 76°F to -44°F
- Exposed to 52°C / 125°F with 80 % relative humidity
