Varusteleka L4 Winter Combat Pants

A proper winter operator needs proper winter gear – no compromises. These are the pants, and with the whole set your movements are lighter and quicker than with a separate camouflage layer pulled over everything else!

Features

These pants are based on our L4 Combat and Field Pants, with all the details refined purely for winter warfare. Note that these are not insulated pants – you should still think in terms of layering and bring your winter over-garments for stationary situations.

Good Mobility and Fit

• Adjustable elastic waistband, easy to remove/replace
• Diamond gusset in the crotch
• Articulated knees with pleats
• Hook-and-loop tightening and zipper at the cuffs

Durable and Reinforced

• Knee reinforcements with pad pockets (we recommend CPE inserts)
• Reinforcements at the cuff ends and inner ankle

The crotch has a gusset that improves mobility and reduces stress on the seam. The knees are reinforced with shaped Cordura patches sewn to allow pad inserts, such as CPE knee pad inserts. Cordura reinforcements are also found at the inner ankle and cuff ends.

Six Pockets

• Two side pockets with zipper closure
• Two thigh pockets with flap (button/hook-and-loop closure)
• Two small calf pockets with hook-and-loop flap

In addition to the zippered side pockets, the L4 Winter Combat Pants feature two pleated thigh pockets (low profile when empty, expandable when filled) that can be closed with a button, hook-and-loop, or both depending on your preference. At the calves you’ll find small pleated accessory pockets with hook-and-loop closure, sized for common pressure bandages or tourniquets.

The waist includes suspender loops and 50 mm belt loops, with hanging loops at the lower ends for attaching accessories such as GrimLocs.

L4 – Field Wear

The fourth layer of the Varusteleka clothing system can generally be described as the "standard field uniform". The purpose of this layer is to protect the user from observation and to shield lower layers from wear. L4 clothes and accessories are lightweight, durable field garments designed for functionality. Camouflage-printed fabrics and visible accessories are fully NIR-compliant.
