The thumbholes are very handy when dressing in layers, and they keep your wrists warm, which is often a weak point in your insulation.

Mulesing-free merino wool

This shirt is made from an 80/20 Merino wool/polyamide blend.  The polyamide content is low enough to go unnoticed. However, it significantly increases durability. 100% merino wool is a lot of things but very abrasion-resistant it is not. All our merino wool is mulesing-free.
