Särmä TST L1 Boxers, Merino Wool

You see the rating, you know I like these underwear. Now the actual reason I’m writing this: One point of concern for me was the lack of a fly. For those who are worried as I was, I suggest trying them out. I found that I was easily able to pull the waist down through my jean fly, and they snap right back into place afterwards. Honestly, it’s less hassle than some normal boxers I’ve had.

Wonderful quality boxers! Wick sweat nicely, breath well and dont feel itchy or too warm. My biggest complaint would be the tag design in the back, quite big and annoying so I cut it off, and they seem to hang too low in the groin area? My pair fits me well and any larger would result in a looser fit, but it never quite makes full contact to fully prevent chafing in really miserable conditions. Though maybe that's my fault, im not sure.

Merino wool! It truly is a divine material, even for underwear, it seems. The numbers are pretty much true-to-size, at least for me (I got a small). The garment was a bit tight-fitting for the first few hours of wear, but it gradually stretched out to a snug-but-comfortable fit. If it's not already obvious from my name, I am a woman, so I cannot speak to the specific...let's just say, "dimensional" struggles that some of the men here have been commenting about. But for all you ladies out there, the unisex design of these boxers shouldn't be a problem. As others have commented, these do not ride up the leg and do a good job wicking moisture and snuffing out bad odors. Warmth is an added bonus, and I got these for the winter, so I cannot comment on how much heat the boxers might add during summer, but for this time of year, they're perfect. My only, and I mean only complaint about these is that they might begin to itch anywhere that experiences repeated and consistent friction, for example, the inner thighs or the waistband, especially if you're wearing tighter trousers over them. However, I didn't dock any stars because 1) the itching isn't that noticeable, and 2) hey, it's wool, and for all the benefits that wool otherwise confers, it's a tradeoff I'm willing to make.
