Which back type is superior? Some people claim to have an answer; we think it's a preference thing. Do note some things, though: Y-model suspenders are more straightforward and forgiving. If your pants have a belt loop smack in the center back, you'll have to compromise the perfect suspender clip symmetry. H- and X-model suspenders are attached with four clips so athey offer better support overall.
