Varusteleka is the biggest and best in Europe

Varusteleka is a military clothing and gear brand and retailer from Finland. We have a walk-in store in Helsinki and serve online customers worldwide. In addition to our awesome products, we are known for fast deliveries, excellent customer service, and brutally honest yet funny advertising.

The company was founded in 2003, and it grew rapidly to become the biggest military retail store in Europe. Our crew consists of over 70 professionals, and in 2023, our turnover was €20.4 million. That year, we shipped 926,496 products to 91 countries.

WTF does this Varusteleka mean?

Varusteleka is obviously Finnish, and it loosely translates to "Gear hammer". Yes, it is quite special even in Finnish. The name is a combination of the words "varuste", which means equipment or gear, and "leka", which means a sledgehammer (or a bottle of booze in slang).

Hyvien puolella

Our slogan “Hyvien puolella” could be translated as “on the side of the good guys”. For the Neutral, it’s enough that no more evil enters the world; the Good ones strive to make the world a better place. And we probably don’t need to go any further into the motives of the bad guys.

We believe that the fight against evil is always worth fighting. This we do by:

Spearheaded by our own products

We design our own products for demanding military operators. In addition to professional soldiers, they attract law-enforcement officers, military reservists, and outdoorspeople who appreciate war-proof and functional, no-nonsense gear perfected for the tough Nordic conditions. We are currently in the process of moving our production to Europe, and most of this has already been completed. The idea is to make our production more transparent and ethical and to improve the security of supply in these uncertain times.

Since it doesn’t make sense to do everything yourself, we also sell stuff made by other companies. These products are carefully chosen to complement our own, and they meet the same criteria for quality and functionality.
