This unissued US Marine Corps Chest Rig Kit works as a standalone chest rig or plate carrier placard. It comes with all the components necessary to set up a complete chest rig plus the repair kit. Very cheap for being unused.
This is the Marine Corps version of the U.S. Army’s Tactical Assault Panel (TAP). It gives you an alternate method of carrying your combat load on a body armor system, but thanks to the detachable harness, you can also use it on its own.
It has six designated single M4/M16/AR-15 magazine pouches in the middle. The pouches on the sides are designed for the PRC-148/153 radio and a GPS system or other suitably sized items. You can also fit two magazines in each of these, increasing the rig’s maximum capacity to ten magazines.
The front panel is full of PALS webbing, so you can attach lots of additional pouches if needed. There are also three mesh admin pouches on the backside: Two with a hook & loop closure and one with a zipper.
On YouTube, you can find the official USMC training video that shows pretty nicely how this is used.
Unissued US Marine Corps surplus. These haven’t seen any use, so the condition is excellent.
