A smart and spacious waist bag from the US military. Also known as a fanny pack because these are often carried on the backside. Wear it around your waist or use as a large general-purpose pouch of your backpack. Very nicely used American military surplus.
This is a very simple fanny pack without any weird features. One large zippered compartment and a drain grommet at the bottom for getting rid of unnecessary liquids or allowing your guardian gnome to breathe better. An adjustable waist belt and two compression straps. Wear it around your waist or attach it to suitable MOLLE/PALS webbing.
On your waist, the easiest method is to hang it on the backside but if you want to look like a Finnish vodka tourist, carry it boldly on your tummy. The camouflage pattern is the digital US Universal Camouflage Pattern, suitable for both urban and more natural surroundings. Made from tough Cordura that can take quite a bit of abuse.
The measurements are c. 40 x 15 x 12 cm (15.5” x 6” x 4.5”) but since this isn’t a solid block, it is impossible to conjure up any engineer-precise measurements. And they can of course vary a bit depending on what weird shapes and sizes you ram inside. The weight is c. 350 grams (12.4 oz). The belt can be adjusted quite nicely from an anorectic wood elf skeleton to 125 cm (49”).
Used US military surplus. However, these seem to have been used very little. The buckles make that lovely sharp click and the fabric doesn’t seem to have mud, sweat, or blood splatters. So, a very nice purchase indeed.
