These are perfect for stuffing your food and other sustainment gear into. Large enough to go on the side of your rucksack and other longer treck bags. Shame its NOT for your direct kit, but it can at least go on the side of the US Assault Pack to allow your food or even a bivy set to go somewhere else. Easily overpacked and up to the task for durability. Pairs best with an external strap to compress the contents.

This is a great big pouch that fits perfectly on the front of all Jääkäri backpacks. It is especially nice in combination with the Jääkäri S, when there is little stuff in the backpack you can use it for storage separation and when there is lots of stuff in the backpack you can just take it out and attach it to the front. I knocked off half a star because the pouch can't be completely closed which makes it not so great for loose small items + another half star because the D-rings are way too low to be used for turning it into a good haversack (however D-rings and a strap attached to the top back works great though). The pouch I received was unissued. Sticky and stinky. Highly recommended!
