US ALICE - MOLLE Adapter, Surplus

If you have a really really good pouch that was great with ALICE gear but your current load-bearing base is a MOLLE vest, these adapters are your ticket to gear heaven to ride on a cloud of compatibility.

There's not much to be said about such a simple principle that is made so well: one adapter is a rectangular base with PALS-straps on the back and ALICE-compatible webbing on the front. If you want to tie modern times way back to WWI, you can even attach M-1910 pouches to this adapter!

The adapter requires three columns and two rows of space on the base and measures 108 x 89 mm (4.25" x 3.5").

Why the armed forces would make such adapters instead of new pouches that fit the current system directly, we don't know. Maybe they just had heaps and heaps of ALICE pouch that were deemed too good to waste.
