The Swedish model 1959 summer uniform consisted of a green, form-fitting field jacket, long johns covering the whole leg, and a very nice skirt to finish the look. We're hauling these out, get a bunch now, if only for DIY materials!
Made of oh-so-thick cotton fabric as these are made for unforgiving field use. Button-up front and real pockets on the sides, with a hidden bonus pocket large enough for a smartphone!
First the Swedish size, then the user's recommended waist circumference. Depending on the button arrangement, this might vary a bit from skirt to skirt!
The length of the smallest size starts at about 60 cm (the length of the whole skirt), with about 1-2 cm increments per size. The length also varies in the same size class a bit, so go figure.
The centimetre sizes are based on our research. Sometimes the nominally larger size seems to have a tighter waist than the smaller one. What are you doing, Sweden?
Some of these are used, others still have factory labels on them. The used ones are in a very nice shape, this lot has not apparently been used in combat drills. A few rare skirts seemed to have the buttons re-sewn in a different spot, so just take them off and sew on again.
