Blade
This knife has a full flat ground blade with a comet-shaped (or bird skull or an ancient fertility symbol, whatever rocks your boat) hole for easy one-hand opening with the flick of your thumb. It is made of high-carbon 8Cr13MoV stainless steel. The part of the spine where the thumb rests is textured, which prevents the folder from slipping and sliding in your hand when cutting.
Handle
The handle is made of G-10 set over a stainless liner. G-10 is an epoxy-filled laminate with a rough weave texture that provides a firm grip. It also resists chemicals, oil, and temperature extremes.
Thanks to the adjustable four-way clip, you can carry the folder tip-up/tip-down and left- or right-handed. There’s a lanyard hole at the back of the handle for a secondary-retentive thong or cord.
This knife has a reliable back lock. As an added safety feature, a half-moon-shaped snip of steel, known as Boye’s Dent, has been removed from the lock's release lever to prevent you from accidentally closing the blade. It is named after the custom knifemaker David Boye.
