Savotta Compression Bag

You know that sound and feel of a ripping seam or fabric when you were just about to finish stuffing your sleeping bag into the compression sack? Prepare to forget about it with this large and heavy-duty compression bag from Savotta. One-off batch!

Savotta was left with a pile of these things because some project or whatever was canceled. We bought all they had and it shows in the price only: there is nothing wrong with these quality-wise, there just were too many.

Made with care from PU-coated 210D Cordura with ITW Nexus buckles and 25 mm / 1" webbing used by the Finnish Defence Forces, this is a piece of kit you can count on. It's actually so strong you can use it as a lightweight day pack! Just backtrack a couple of the length-compressors past their tunnels.

Big enough for winter sleeping bags like the Carinthia Defence 6. Also fits the Defence 4 and Tropen combined. These recommendations do not require careful folding and rolling: just open the zippers and stuff the sleeping bags into the compression bag – foot section first. Not quite large enough for the US Intermediate and Patrol bag combined.

The fabric has a waterproof PU coating but the seams are not taped. Sleeping bags are easy on the coating so it should take a while for the water-resistance to wear off. Dry bags are a different thing.
