For missions where at least some phases require blending in, The Low-Vis Plate Carrier fits the bill. With a streamlined cut and careful detailing and material choices, the LVPC conforms to the shape of the plate to prevent hot spots that would print through a jacket. Compatible with numerous industry-standard accessories and components.
True modularity means you can combine various components to meet mission demands. The plate bags are the heart of the carrier, everything else is up to you. This is a basic kit with an Elastic Cummerbund: the sleekest and most lightweight one. Just choose the cummerbund size and the color of the plate bags! (The Plate Bags and Cummerbind are also available as separate components.)
The plate bags are designed for 254 x 305 mm / 10" x 12" plates with a thickness of up to 28 mm / 1.1". Smaller and thinner plates are held steady with an integrated strap adjustment.
Many layers of webbing, fabric, and hook-and-loop have been eliminated by integrating a 2-ply Foxdura 500D laminate exterior with a 3D Mesh liner and nothing but your plates of choice in between. You'd have to duck tape the plates to your body to reduce the thickness of your carrying system. The Ranger Green version is made of 500D Cordura.
The laser-cut PALS slots match the width of 25 mm / 1" webbing more closely and keep your pouches more stable. Additional upright slots on the front piece are compatible with QASM buckles, G-Hooks, and so on.
The fabric's NIR properties are Mil-Spec.
The LVPC is compatible with industry-standard placards with G-Hooks, SwiftClips, etc.. Loaded placards and other pouches can be carried in a bag when the nature of your mission should not be immediately obvious. Mount them to the carrier when the job turns from Low-Vis to a Direct Action kind of deal.
The Särmä TST Low-Vis Mag Shingle adds capacity with minimal bulk, featuring three large pouches and smaller ones on each side.
The Särmä TST 3X Rifle Mag Placard is not only a triple mag pouch but also allows to stack other pouches and works as a Micro Chest Rig when combined with the X Harness and a couple of pouches on the sides.
