Särmä sternum strap

A simple piece of nylon and elastic strap to attach to anything with shoulder straps, i.e. backpacks and webbing. Affordable and extremely handy.

The advantages of a sternum strap are:

• Prevents your rucksack from flopping around
• Takes a bit of the weight off your shoulders if needed
• Prevents the shoulder straps from sliding off your shoulders

Of course, attaching the sternum strap is made easier if your backpack already has loops on the shoulder straps. 25 mm width should pass through most loops.
