We renewed our wool fleece jacket pretty thoroughly and made them into male and female versions, this being the male one. You can of course wear whichever fits you the best. We increased the amount of wool and reduced the amount of plastic even more. We also moved the production away from China to a lot closer in Europe, which is pretty awesome. This warm and fuzzy wool fleece works as an outer layer when it is a bit warmer and as a mid-layer when it is colder.
- Reinforcements on wear-prone areas: under the forearms, on the shoulders, and around the zippers on pockets
- Pack friendly, no shoulder seam, not even hidden under the reinforcement
- Two large zippered low front pockets with an opening for a headphone cord on the right one
- Pockets on the sleeves with slots for hook&loop patches
- Drawcord adjustment on the hem. It is more towards the front, so the pistol holster doesn't feel uncomfortable in case you want some tactical use for this.
- High collar
Features
This has two smaller zippered pockets on the sleeves and two larger pockets on the sides. The right one of those has a cord grommet so you can listen to epic doom while you walk. The sleeves have slots for hook & loop patches.
Regular fleece would otherwise be quite nice but the plastics in it suck ass. That kind of garment can melt if you are really unlucky by the campfire, and the microplastics eventually poison everything. That’s why we reduced the synthetic content already in the previous version, and now we went even further. The established benefits of fleece jackets are retained, so this jacket works as a warm mid-layer underneath a shell jacket or by itself in mild conditions. When it's cold as hell, you could just cocoon yourself in a combination of this fleece and a windproof smock. In theory, these items could be everything a human would need for covering the upper body. When the sky falls on top of you, Särmä Hardshell jacket is also a solid choice.
Made in the EU
We moved the production from China to Lithuania in Europe. This change brings more transparency, which is a very good thing. The downside is the more expensive price.
