A modern (read: actually made for humans and doesn't contain asbestos) gas mask for a modest price! Despite being of French origin, these are proper good stuff. Not sold for any actual use, as the masks are used and the filters are past their expiration date. A carry bag included!
We have separated some masks that are missing the outlet diaphragm i.e. there's a hole in the side. These masks have seen their best days but the bags are in a very good condition so here's your chance to grab one!
We called these Polish MP-5 masks initially because they were sold to us as such and the differences between the two are small. Upon closer inspection, these were French after all.
The French ARF-A gas mask is made of proper stiff butyl rubber and it has a wide, flexible panoramic view. This mask is a long way from crappy but admittedly weirdly sensual rubber hoods of the near past. Its fit and ergonomics are designed not to interfere with helmet use and weapon handling, and doffing and donning is fast thanks to the good adjustment strap system on the back.
The filter is included and represents the original French design. These have expired sometime in the 2000s, so the only protection we can guarantee is a spiritual one. These do not contain asbestos, they're that new manufacture. Filter models may vary a bit. The threads are 40 mm NATO, so most filters will fit. If you want a filter for real use, we have the Scott model available at the time of writing.
The carrying case is rubberized and can be carried on equipment with its attachment loops (some are more vintage style with metal buckles and hooks, some are kinda like MOLLE). It will take in the mask with its accessories but can be used for many other purposes requiring a weatherproof bag.
These are used but in good shape. Military surplus gas masks are NOT sold for any actual protective purposes, only as collectibles.
