A faux leather map case of the NVA. Don't be fooled, this thing is actually pretty good.
Features pen and eraser holders, a side-folding clear plastic map compartment, and two A5-size general compartments. The material is brown rubberized leather-like synthetic stuff. Great for carrying a tablet and accessories even today!

The "leather" on mine looks new with only one scrape and a little bit of dirt. The slots for pencils are not stretched at all, suggesting it has never been used. The metal bits are obviously tarnished. Comes with a shoulder strap and a small strap to hook your wrist compass (not included) while you do map stuff. Overall exactly what I expected.

Lightly scratched (in exactly one place, I'm impressed and pleased to say). Came in with the warehouse smell, no cracks, no stains or gunk. No complaints other than the strap's attachment clips having pins that are pretty... pointy? Be aware that in the cold (negative temperatures in Celsius), the material gets a little bit stiffer but still pliable.
