Light sticks, chem lights, glow sticks – now available with IR light invisible to the naked eye! Light sticks are useful tools for marking yourself or a particular place you want other people to find, a cleared room in a building, or using a trail of them to find your way back to where you started, and someone without NVGs will be none the wiser. This versatile light stick can also serve as a handy source of illumination when only minimal light is required. You’ll need nods or other means of NV, of course, to see the light. The size is 150 x 15 mm / 6" x 0.6". The package contains one light stick.

The primary purpose of light sticks is to generate completely safe light without any power source. The light is a result of a chemical reaction that produces only light and no heat. These disposable sticks require no batteries or external power. While the light may not be intensely bright, it is ideal for tasks like reading maps, rummaging through your backpack, or as a tent light. Light sticks are particularly useful for marking objects, locations, tent ropes, and such. Note that in military situations, light discipline should be taken into account, as these sticks glow quite brightly in the dark when viewed through night vision devices. While the IR light is invisible to the naked eye, the light stick in itself is not, so be vary of casually planting these on paths etc. you use if you want to stay hidden from other actors.

By using tape, you can adjust the brightness of the stick and create various patterns if needed.

The stick is a 150 mm / 6" long plastic tube that is 15 mm / 0.6" thick, with a loop at one end for easy attachment. Activate the stick by bending it so that the internal ampoule breaks, then give it a shake. The outer casing of the stick is sturdy and not easily broken – at least not without proper tools, effort, and intent. The chemicals inside are non-toxic.

The light sticks are reported to last for 8 hours, with our estimation being that 6-8 hours is probably the actual usable time. The product is new and made in China.
