The Magpul M-LOK Hand Stop Kit serves as a lightweight, low-profile M-LOK slot index point for improved weapon control, or as a forward stop to prevent the shooter’s hand from reaching the hot front sight assembly or muzzle.
The kit includes one M-LOK Hand Stop, one M-LOK Index Panel, and one M-LOK Rail Cover Type 2 for the individual user to configure their kit as they desire. Also included in this kit is an adapter for use with Magpul M-LOK equipped polymer Hand Guards / Forends as well as other wider profile aluminum handguards.

Two main styles of installation
Option 1: The "main" kit consists of the Hand Stop itself (hooked piece), a Rail Cover, and an Index Panel (smaller nub). These three pieces are a direct fit to M-LOK handguards with a slim profile. Each component can be oriented either way for some funny ergonomics. Just say "it works for me" if anyone questions your setup on the Internet.
Option 2: If your handguard profile is wider, sandwich the included adapter plate to the handguard before mounting the Hand Stop and Index Plate. You'll have to back out the M-LOCK screws a little bit for this. The adapter plate has a fixed panel in the middle so the separate Rail Cover can be installed elsewhere if you like.
All hardware necessary for attachment directly to M-LOK slots on compatible aluminum or polymer hand guards and forends is included: Two screws and two T-nuts. You will need a 1/8" hex key (not included) to tighten the screws.
