The MagPod is a replaceable AR-15 magazine base plate compatible with Magpul’s Gen M3 PMAG magazines. It is an accessory similar to a ranger plate, designed to help with magazine handling and shooting from a magazine-supported position.

Features
The standard-sized magazine for an AR-15 rifle has a slight curve to accommodate the tapered cartridges. This design usually results in only one corner of the magazine contacting the surface when shooting from a magazine-supported position. The MagPod, however, provides contact with the surface at both the front and back, offering a more stable magazine support. Additionally, the MagPod makes it easier to retrieve magazines from pouches in certain situations, and the retention cords of the magazine pouches will fit between the protrusions of the MagPod.
