Luminae Foretrex GPS Mount

Let thy arms be free, and attach your GPS device to your gear with this Foretrex GPS Mount from Luminae. This mount can be attached to your plate carrier or chest rig, or basically anything with PALS loops. The mount opens to about an 70 degree angle, and you can see the display by just looking down while doing something else with both your hands. When you don't need GPS information, just lift the mount to an upward position and it stays firmly out of your way.

This mount comes in two versions, which differ only in the width of the strap. The larger one is for Garmin Foretrex 601 and 701 models, while the smaller one fits the 301 and 401 models. Use the mount by removing the arm strap from your Foretrex, and attach the mount’s straps instead. Tighten the straps and you're good to go.

Do-it-yourself

As some of you might have gotten the idea already, this mount can be modified to carry your smartphone. Screw a sturdy phone case on this mount, and slip your phone in. Now you can switch your map apps and location on, and run around the woods without getting lost – plus alerting every internet user to your unit’s location. Note: any modification to the mount will affect return and warranty stuff adversely.
