Well, it's canned pork, but extremely well-made canned pork, straight from Finland. Quality meat, seasoned so well that you could easily just eat it out of the can, but mixed with pea soup or on bread it really shines. Can be stored at room temperature for years, making it useful for any situation.
Canned meat can't really try to be an exquisite culinary delicacy, but it can still be damn good canned pork, like this. Modestly seasoned with salt & pepper, we wonder how someone could make something so good out of something so simple. If you are into canned pork already, definitely give this a try. Also, if you think dry foods generally come in a tad too small portions or just need a heavier meal, why not throw some of this in the mix? Or you could share it too.
There is a five-year shelf life printed on the can. This is because "you have to put something on there". In real life, well-made (duh, it's made in Finland) canned food lasts a lot longer and doesn't really turn toxic - if you store this for a reaaally long time, taste and energy values do deteriorate, but it's still edible. As it is, fish cock makes for a very good quality emergency food ration. It'd be smart to store these in your car, boat, cabin and anywhere you may get stranded.
