The archetypal, often copied but never surpassed, benchmark of bipods from Harris Bipods. This model has smooth legs with a height range between 29 - 64 cm (12" - 25"), and it comes with a swiveling function.
Height-wise, this bipod is the tallest available model. This bipod is a choice for situations when shooting in difficult terrain like rocky ground or tall vegetation.
The bipod attaches to an ordinary sling swivel stud and folds forward out of the way when not in use. When deployed, the legs allow leaning into the rifle for better recoil management and a consistent point of impact.
Apart from the shorter models, this bipod has a two-part extension mechanism; both moving parts have their own switches, and the upper one has an adjustment screw.
The smooth legs of this bipod have to be pulled out. Adjustments are made by loosening the screw, and pulling the leg to the desired length, and then re-tightening the screw. The legs also lock to full extension.
This bipod has a spring-assisted swivel mechanism to adjust the rifle’s sideways tilt. The stiffness of the swivel action can be adjusted by a screw on the backside of the bipod. If you tighten it all the way, the rifle will stay put and not tilt at all.
