Modern combat pants made purely for field use instead of prancing around in parades. Packed with neat and functional details, these are a bit more pricey than your usual surplus articles, but truly worth the money. Nothing fancy, just 100% pure practical functions, this is great!
As with the Felin combat smock, the pants are equally practical with a roomy fit and some well-designed features. These are the hot-weather (S2) variants of the T4 pants. Let's go through it in detail:
The numbers represent a recommended waist size range of the user. The waistband of the pants is equal to the larger of these numbers e.g. size 85-92 has a 92 cm waistband (36").
The letters represent the user's length so that M is regular, L is longer and C is shorter. Then there's the shortest XC. Let's learn some French:
Due to the high waist and generous inseam length, it doesn't matter if you're a bit taller than recommended.
Made of lightweight 67/33 cotton-polyester blend with ripstop reinforcement, weight 210 g/m2. Most if not all buttons are extremely practical large Canadian-style buttons. (Some pants may have regular buttons here or there, still sewn with great care so they're good to go.)
Note! The fabric has an anti-insect treatment. In the case of military surplus, this is most certainly permethrin, though it doesn't explicitly say so. It has been used for a couple of decades with good success so it's well-proven, but very harmful to cats so keep your felines and Felins separated.
Unissued or barely used. These have been made in the '00s so these are not too old either!
