In addition to being good pieces of kit, the Dutch modular system is dirt cheap. The price doesn't reflect quality: this is a proper army issue built to last. This one is for carrying a grenade.

The pouch could actually hold a 66 mm / 2.5" tubular object of 100 mm / 4" height, but the flap is smaller. A 0,33 liter beer can was just a bit too big for the lid to close. Of course, if you need your beer to be readily available, you don't need a flap.

Drain grommet in the bottom. Some of the flaps have a "Spanish Fly" closure, others have a regular plastic buckle. Both are good - we haven't separated them.

Molle compatible

Attaches to anything with PALS on it, such as MOLLE gear, and even standard belts.

Genuine Dutch army surplus

In used but good serviceable condition. The camouflage might be a bit faded and such, but these kinds of things don't affect its use at all.

Quality of the one I got is almost as new, but the scribbles on the bottom tell me for a fact it isn't. They're very deep as far as grenade pouches go, and feature a stiff, non-elastic spoon-retaining band at the back, which makes for an excellent attachment point for medium sized multi-tools and folding knives with pocket clips. The pouch is wide enough to accommodate two Eka T9 knives/similar form factor tools, plus a 4 bits kit, while still being able to easily close up. If, for some reason, you don't particularly care whether it can close or not, then it'll hold two multi-tools/knives, a 6 bits kit, and a 250ml energy drink can. I can think of a million uses for this pouch, so will order a few more while they're available.
