Here is a stylish metal box in good condition for your first aid kit or other valuables – this vintage box is also well-suited for decoration purposes. The contents of this box are also good for decoration, but not really for anything else; the best before date has come and gone eons ago. A one-off lot!
This metal box is red in color, and the lid comes off by lifting. There is a familiar symbol on the top as well as the manufacturer’s name and "Auto" in a nice font. This gives away the notion that this was a first aid kit to be kept in your automobile. The box contains first aid items made around 1981, and there is a clarifying list of contents in there as well – if you happen to be proficient in that language. The inside of the box is shiny metal; that’s what the box is made of.
The box itself is just fine compared to its age – there are merely some small scratches on the corners due to them being stored in piles. The contents, however, have not aged well just like us mortals during the last 40 plus years – they are very much done for. There used to be just one tough ice hockey national team in this bygone socialist state; now there is just one tough national team, but also Slovakia. These metal boxes have stood the test of time, but the contents have suffered the general fate of anything related to Soviet garbage.
