A simple, durable, and freely adjustable black leather belt with a reliable brass buckle that stays where it should. It is also pretty as German efficiency. The only way that this Bundeswehr belt would be any better is if it were unissued. Well, look at that, it is!
All black leather things from Germany are simply wunderbar, and this isn’t an exception. Leather belts often have an outdated prong or stud, but the German belt führers thought that NEIN! Das ist Scheisse! They developed a system that represents German minimalistic functionality at its best.
The buckle is a simple, pretty, and very solid piece of brass that can be moved on the belt to adjust the belt length steplessly. This isn’t one of those cheap Chinese friction buckles that are as reliable as political promises. Instead, it has a very sturdy, toothed clamping thang that clings on the belt better than a used car salesman on his prey. The buckle has a hidden hook that pairs up with the endpiece of the belt very nicely. You only have to adjust the length once, and then you just hook it on and off faster than you can say "spouse" in German. The buckle can be plated or bare brass.
Condition
Unused German military surplus. Mind you these have been stored loose for a long time, some for possibly decades. So they can have some small warehouse dirt and such. They are still very good belts, especially for their age.
