Product description

Winter mittens of the German Bundeswehr. The older, olive green model.

The traditional name for mittens is no-can-doo. But freezing your fingers isn't a good idea either: good luck pulling the trigger with a blue popsicle that once was your index finger. Let's not pretend these are Mechanix gloves, but they do a damn good job keeping your hands warm.

The shell of the gloves is made of durable nylon with leather reinforcements covering the palm, lined with fake fur. A waterproof membrane is hidden between the outer shell and fake fur. However, we can't give any promises regarding the membrane - these are used. Let's just say getting these wet in normal use is still quite a challenge.

German army surplus

Used, but in good serviceable condition.

These and a pair of wool liner gloves kept my hands from freezing while driving an unheated car a few winters ago (blower motor is replaced now, but couldn't do it at the time). I had just been laid off from my job and needed something good and cost effective. Hard times call for good, reliable gloves and these fit the bill.

Very Warm mitts, came basically factory new (Only smelled a bit funny from the warehouse storage). Have tried them out to -20 C with liner gloves and didnt freeze at all. For the price it's an amzing pair of mitts.

I got the light grey leather version, with a fleece lining. I typically wear a medium glove, but bought these in L to accommodate my Särmä merino gloves. A roomy fit, I’m happy with them! My pair appeared almost new.
