A great example of German design. This foldable mat also acts as a frame in the Jägerrucksack and the larger infantry ruck.
Only a German mind could come up with something like this. A foldable sleeping mat that makes sleeping on the cold ground more comfortable, and when it's time to move out, folds into a nice package and slips in the ruck.

Used but in serviceable condition. These might have some markings from the previous users and little wear and holes here and there.

Got mine torn but ducttaped together. Whoever repaired it did a good job.
This thing is useful in a pinch, whether to lie down for a nap on concrete, or as a pillow for sitting on uncomfortable surfaces.

I was initially apprehensive to order based upon reviews, so I ordered more than I needed to make sure I got some good ones. All I received are in very good + condition, a pleasant surprise.
One has a couple nicely repaired cuts (with green duck tape), and all show signs of use, with superficial scratches or abrasions. Overall, pleased with them all. Would consider them a bargain at the price, especially since I couldn't find any in the USA.
These are not very thick, and provide little comfort, but are great for added insulation (I live at 8,500') and as a protective layer under a more expensive inflatable pad. Easy to fold, and as others have said, they fit great in a pack, against your back, and offer extra padding if you have anything heavy or angular in your pack.
Make sure you clean them. Even if they don't look too dirty, when you start to clean them you'll be surprised how much dirt comes off.
Overall, these were so nice and such a good bargain, I'm considering ordering more before they're sold out again.
