Simple, durable, and comfortable cargo shorts. Just like Bundesmarine service pants but shorter! If you have always wanted to wear jolly German sailor pants on blazing hot summer days, your prayers have been answered. This isn’t a standard navy design but a custom job by the wholesaler.
Features
Just like all German pants, these are practical and comfortable. Some come with a zip fly some with buttons. These have five pockets; cargo pockets with a hook and loop closure, side pockets, and one buttoned back pocket. The belt loops fit all the Bundeswehr belts or any belt up to 3 cm (1.2”) wide. The colors vary from one dark blue to another dark or even darker blue.
Choosing the right size
The size given is the waist circumference in both centimeters and inches. To confuse you, we have also added cryptic numbers in brackets that refer to the leg length of the original pants. They are there because you can still find them on these pants even though the leg length is nowadays always short. In plain English, the only measurement that you need to worry about is your waist.
Materials
Because there are shorts from a bit different eras here, the materials can vary a bit. The combination of 65% viscose and 35% aramid seems to be quite prevalent. Aramid is flame-resistant so these won’t most likely melt into your skin in Hell. Because this is military surplus, we cannot give you any pyromania warranty though. So, don’t douse yourself in gasoline, the environment won’t like it either.
Condition
Used German navy surplus. There can be small stains, wrinkles, and such. If you want pristine shorts, buy new ones. However, if you need durable and affordable shorts for active use, these could be quite nice.
