Usually if it's blue, it's some kind of boring officewear, at least in the magical world of surplus. These, however, are a whole different animal; a pair of standard high-quality cargo pants for general use! If warry colors are not your thing, you can't go wrong with these.
A very basic model with a load of pockets, knee reinforcements with sleeves for protective inserts, wide belt loops, etc.
Made of dark blue polycotton ripstop fabric. The bulgy back pockets do make your ass look a bit funny, but otherwise, these are very nice. Fashion Police tip: dark brown goes together with dark blue quite well!
Kinda like buying jeans, just your waist circumference in inches. These have a highish waist compared to most modern civilian pants, comparable to BDU pants.
Some of these came with centimeter labels. It's the same thing as inches, just multiplied by 2.54. Various lengths have inseams as follows, please note that a centimeter or two may have been lost to shrinkage:
The Regulars fit up to about 180 cm tall people pretty well. Our model is 175 cm tall, with a waist of 84 cm, wearing size 32" Regular.
Not army surplus, but British government issue anyway. This means it's quality kit. These are in a serviceable condition, probably seen only light duty use. The fabric is often faded from repeated washes.
