This simple Windstopper Fleece jacket keeps the storm away from your skin and a smile on your face in rough weather. The PSWM Green (Pea Soup With Mustard) main part and Old Swedish Surplus Green reinforcements make this quite civvy-looking, especially as there are no velcro bases or epaulettes to be found. Gotta love those Belgians for getting rid of these!
- Simple and streamlined design for layered clothing
- Comfortable and elastic Windstopper material
- Ventilation mesh pockets
Typical cut and features
This jacket follows the form that has been the de facto standard for fleece jackets at least 20-30 years: long back, reinforced shoulders and sleeve backs, adjustable hem and a tall collar.
The overall profile is low: simple elastic cuffs without tabs, flat seams all over and minimal other features, just three pockets. The pockets are made of a mesh for ventilation when you leave the zips open. This minimalism allows you to easily wear the jacket as a mid-layer or on its own as a light jacket.
Windproof and breathable
Windstopper is a material often credited as being the garment hardshell jackets try to be. It's up to twice as breathable, yet totally windproof and water-resistant against light showers. Rain jackets are best left for the pouring rain, Windstopper is the all-around thing that works better most of the time. It's elastic, too!
