A pair or proper old time wool breeches, these look like something straight out of Flanders fields! High waist and tough construction, these are the perfect trousers for a gentleman in the field.
The cut is, apart from the obvious baggy thighs, very conventional: two slash pockets on the front and a back pocket with a button flap to cover it, the fly is the usual button up type. The rear and inside of the legs at knee height are reinforced to withstand rough field use. The legs have laces for a tight fit around the calves, these are meant to be worn with high boots or leg wraps. The wide belt loops are designed for a 5 cm wide Pattern 37 style webbing belt. The true gentleman will appreciate the that these have buttons for braces sewn to the inside of the waist!
Made from proper ol' coarse wool, with cotton pockets and such, hand wash and air dry only! Most dirt can simply be brushed off.
The listed sizes are the measured waist circumference and leg inseam in centimeters - these are measured from the trousers. These sit about 5 cm above the navel, keep this in mind when measuring yourself! Also, breeches are designed with shorter legs than most trousers, therefore you should pick a size with about 10 cm shorter inseam than you usually wear. That is of course unless you only wear breeches, in which case we applaud you! The model in the picture is 178 cm tall and is wearing size 80/65 with no problems whatsoever. Breeches are very forgiving in this aspect.
Most looked totally pristine, however being made in the 40's-50's, there might be some little sign of age here and there. We will sell these as "used" because we just can't guarantee perfection. In any case these are very nice and perfectly wearable!
