For long items like a folding saw, here's a handy pouch from Baribal.
Fits many popular camping saws like the Bahco Laplander and Fiskars Xtract SW73. The maximum diameter of a round object is 45 mm / 1.8" and for things with a rectangular profile, 45 x 25 mm / 1.8" x 1" is about right.
Features a flap with hook-and-loops and an elastic hugger for retention when the flap is tucked inside for ease of use. Made from 1000D Cordura. Mil-Spec NIR properties. The color is a bit greener than Ranger Green but less saturated than Olive Drab. See the comparison picture.
The PALS strap in the back can be weaved to form a 50 mm loop for use on a belt without an adapter.

Fits the Bacho Laplander perfectly. It also fits my Silky Gomboy Curved Professional 210.
The Gomboy is wider, but it is not a tight fit, you can pinch some of the pouch away from the gomboy. It is longer but you can use all the velcro on the flap (just). I can also fit a spare blade in as well.

Great for the Bacho Laplander folding saw. Versatile in that you can carry the saw in and outside a backpack (especially with molle) and on your belt when in camp. I have searched the internet for an item like this for long time and this is by far the best option.
