The holsters are designed to fit Trijicon RMR and similar-sized red dot sights. They also have a tall sight channel for red dot/suppressor height front sights. These holsters have an open bottom to fit threaded barrels and compensators.

These holsters have a screw-adjustable friction based retention system. When you holster your pistol, there will be an audible and tactile "click" when it is securely holstered. When you pull on your gun with the required force, it will be released. If you need a holster with a mechanical retention system, get one of those, and not this.

An IWB holster is designed to be carried inside the waistband. An OWB holster is designed to be carried outside the waistband of trousers or a skirt, and usually both IWB & OWB with some upper body garment on top. Thus, the holster and the item carried within will not be visible to the general population.
