Description
A proper winter operator needs a proper winter setup – no compromises, no extra layers flapping over your kit. The Varusteleka L4 Winter Field Set gives you a matched jacket and pants built from the ground up for winter warfare, so your movements stay lighter and quicker than anything cobbled together with a separate snow camo layer thrown on top.
Both pieces are cut from the same strong, non-rustling fabric and share the same philosophy: NIR-compliant camouflage, EU manufacturing, and field-proven details that work with gloves on, in the cold, under load.
The jacket brings a helmet-compatible hood with drawcord adjustments, two-way pit zips for ventilation management, and five pockets positioned to stay accessible under a vest or rucksack. The crotch strap keeps wind and snow from blowing up under the hem – a small detail that makes a big difference at -20°C. Reinforced elbows with pad pockets, hook-and-loop cuff adjustments, and Canadian tape buttons round out a jacket that's repairable in the field without any exotic tools or materials.
The pants match the jacket's intent: articulated knees, a diamond crotch gusset for full mobility, and Cordura reinforcements at the knees, inner ankles, and cuff ends. Six pockets cover everything from zippered side pockets to low-profile thigh pockets and calf pockets sized for a tourniquet or pressure bandage. Hook-and-loop and zipper cuff closures seal out snow at the bottom; an adjustable elastic waistband and suspender loops handle the top.
Neither piece is insulated – layering underneath still matters. What this set does is give you a coordinated, functional outer shell that works with your gear rather than fighting it.
