Technical details and instructions
  • Material: 49% merino wool, 49% viscose (FR), and 2% antistatic fibre, 220 g/m2
  • Sewing threads used are 100% flame-resistant meta-aramid
  • The product meets the requirements of the Personal Protective Equipment Regulation (EU) 2016/425
  • EN ISO 11612:2015 A1+A2, B1, C1 (protective clothing, clothing to protect against heat and flame)

  • In testing, the materials were tested after at least five washes
  • Manufacturer Finnsvala Oy, made in Finland (EU)

Wash at 40 °C (104 °F) on a gentle cycle. The product’s properties are not affected by washing. Long-term use may degrade the material and affect antistatic properties, and the product should be replaced when necessary.

Merino wool products usually do not need washing after use – in most cases, a proper airing is enough.

Description

Merino wool is a great choice for base layer clothing, and now we have combined it with fire-retardant materials – while being fire-retardant, this base layer item also protects against cold by warming your body and wicking away sweat.

  • The product meets the requirements of the Personal Protective Equipment Regulation (EU) 2016/425
  • Suitable for professional use
  • Made in Finland

The product’s fire-retardant properties are based on the materials, not on a separately applied chemical treatment.

What FR is

This fire-retardant (FR) product is designed to be used as a base layer under protective garments that shield against heat and flame. The product is made from inherently fire-retardant and antistatic material which, when used correctly, provides temporary protection against heat, flames, and radiant heat.

What FR is not

NOTE: This garment does not grant you immunity to fire or fire-based magic – so don’t shoot yourself with a flamethrower or run into a burn pit. Fire-retardant clothing also does not protect you from the toxic gases produced during combustion.
