Description
The lightweight version of one of the best-selling Spyderco folding knives. Versatile, partially serrated CombinationEdge and a choice of either black or satin-finished blade. Made in Japan.
History
Spyderco Delica has been very popular since its introduction in 1990. Together with its larger counterpart, the Endura, they pioneered the lightweight, clip-carry, one-hand-opening folding knives and popularized fiberglass-reinforced nylon (FRN) as a handle material. They settled as Spyderco's top two bestsellers, which isn’t a surprise, really.
During the years, Spyderco has improved ergonomics, refined the blade steel, and fine-tuned performance many times. In 2006, Delica was completely redesigned as the current Delica 4, which is nowadays available in numerous versions.
Features
Delica 4 Lightweight features an injection-molded handle from tough fiberglass-reinforced nylon (FRN). The handle has a high-traction Bi-Directional Texture™ pattern for a secure grip. It is structurally reinforced with nested, skeletonized stainless steel liners and comes with a sturdy Back Lock mechanism. Thanks to the four-position pocket clip, you can carry the knife on either side, tip-up or tip-down.
We have two versions that both feature the partially serrated, saber-ground CombinationEdge made from the VG-10 stainless steel: a black-handled version with a satin-finished blade and an all-black version with a black handle, titanium carbonitride (TiCN) blade coating, and matching black-coated handle hardware.
