Technical details and instructions

Materials and specs

Molded of the same high-quality material as other Magpul polymer accessories,

All hardware necessary for attachment directly to M-LOK slots on compatible aluminum or polymer hand guards and forends in included: Two screws and two T-nuts. You will need a 1/8" hex key to tighten the screws.

Overall length: 100 mm / 3.95".

Weight: 34 g / 1.2 oz

Can you fit this to anything else?

To mount this on legacy MOE slots, the easy and reversible way is to usethe M-LOK to MOE adapter kit.

If you have a clean slate (a reasonably flat section that matches the length of the grip), chances are you can make this work.

You'll need four 7 x 12 mm rectangular holes for the recoil mitigation lugs and M-LOK T-nuts, or just two if you make them 7 x 32 mm. The material thickness must be at least 2 mm for the nuts to grab before bottoming out.

The center-spacing of the holes is 20 mm if you make four of them.

If these measurements boggle your mind, it might be easier to just buy a metric caliper instead of converting these. For example, 7 mm is more than 1/4" but less than 9/32". It's a headache.

This should help you get started. If you're confused, choose something else to do while you drink beer. These aren't jobs for amateurs.

Description

The Magpul M-LOK AFG is a slim piece of angled grip zone for your rifle or carbine. By positioning the shooter's hand close to the centerline of the bore, the M-LOK AFG helps mitigate recoil and control the weapon to facilitate faster, more accurate follow-up shots compared to ordinary vertical grips.

Compared to older rail-mounted AFGs, the M-LOK AFG has been reduced in size and weight quite a bit. Without reducing the usable gripping area, the total length is cut to 100 mm and the weight is just 34 g (including mounting hardware). These mean a reduction of 17% from the length and over 50% from the weight.
