Measurements

Made in the French size system. We added the recommended user waist circumference and height to make your life a bit easier. However, if you are interested in decoding the system, read on.

The numbers represent the recommended waist size range. The pants' waistband is equal to the larger of these numbers. For example, size 85-92 has a 92 cm (36") waistband.

The letters represent the user's height; M is regular, L is long, and C is short Then there's the shortest XC. Let's learn some French:

  • Very Short - Extra Court (below 158 cm / 5' 2")
  • Short - Court (159 - 168 cm / 5' 2" to 5' 6")
  • Medium - Moyen (169 - 178 cm / 5' 2" to 5' 10")
  • Tall - Long (above 179 cm / 5' 11")
Technical details and instructions

Materials

These pants are made from polycotton with ripstop reinforcement. The fabric is lightweight, comfortable, and breathes very well. Most buttons are extremely practical, large Canadian-style buttons. (Some pants may have regular buttons here or there, still sewn with great care so they're good to go.)    

Note! These pants have an anti-mosquito treatment, which usually means permethrin in the military context. It is perfectly ok for humans but very harmful to cats and aquatic life. So, don’t go swimming with these on or use them as a cat bed.

  • Roomy cut all the way down the legs
  • High waist with elastic velcro adjustment tabs on the sides
  • Two deep slash pockets on the sides
  • Two cargo pockets with "Canada" buttons and a folding mouth to prevent stuff from falling out
  • Double fabric on the inner ankle, knees, and ass
  • Drawcord adjustment on the leg cuffs
  • Very sturdy belt loops for a max. 50 mm (2") belt
  • Zipper fly with two zip pulls

The official name of these pants is "Pantalon de Combat T4 S2 with the added " "sable zone chaude". It is the summer version (S2) of the T4 field pants of the Felin series in the "hot and sandy" camo pattern.

Camouflage Daguet

Previously, we’ve had these awesome pants in the more common Camouflage Central-Europe (CCE) woodland pattern, but now we managed to get hold of a small batch in the desert variant known as Camouflage Daguet.

The pattern was introduced in 1989, but it was named after the 1991 Operation Daguet, when it saw action for the first time. From 2024, both Daguet and CCE will be replaced by the French MultiCam-inspired Bariolage Multi-Environmental (BME). So, these will not be around forever. Get yours while you can.

Condition

French military surplus These are unissued, so the grunts haven’t sweated them to death. This batch contains pants from at least 2014 and 2016, but there can, of course, be other years in the mix. In any case, these aren’t very old.
