Materials

74% mulesing-free Merino Wool, 25% Polyamide, 1% Elastane. 

Care

Machine wash inside out at 40° C (104° F), wool program and wool detergent recommended. No tumble drying. Please don't leave them in a wet lump after washing. Reshape them gently while still damp and hang to dry. Shrinks about 10% in the first wash; this is already considered in the sizing.

Because of the high wool content, just airing the socks is often enough.

Merino wool terry cloth fabric is awesome. The material is pretty flat on the outside but inside it’s filled with small loops, which create a pleasant feeling while also insulating your feet from the cold. Because of this structure, they allow air to flow and keep your feet dry and comfy regardless of the weather. They work well just as they are, but by layering a thinner merino sock underneath you have a formidable defense against even colder days.

L2 - Mid Layer

The second layer of the Varusteleka clothing system wicks moisture forward from the base layer and gives moderate thermal insulation. The L2 can also be used as a next-to-skin layer, which further adds to the flexibility of the system. Our mid-layer is made from a midweight merino wool blend; it is a bit more relaxed, fitting and noticeably warmer than the base layer.
