When even the warmest mittens don’t keep your hands from freezing, it’s good to have a pair of hand warmers with you. Slip these inside your glove; they’ll keep your digits warm and functioning for hours. These also bring a level of comfiness to more leisurely outings and other wintery shenanigans.
You can go far even in extreme cold with suitable gloves and equipment. However, sometimes things go sideways, and temperatures drop so low that it’s not just about comfort anymore—but survival. Carrying a pair of hand warmers on any winter trip is a wise move. If something goes wrong and your hands start to freeze, these might save you from frostbite or worse.
There are two airtight pouches in the package—one per warmer pad. Open the pouches and pull out the warmers, which will activate once they come into contact with air. It should take a few minutes for them to warm up, but you can speed the process up by putting them together in your pocket. Don’t cut or pierce them. Bring the used pads with you after you’re done and dispose of them in urban waste. Do not leave these in nature, unless you are a flaming asshole.
If you don’t need to use them for the whole time, you can put them in an airtight bag and resume use later. The warmers will re-activate once you take them out again.
If the pads start to burn you, discontinue use.
