Are you looking for a leather belt that has that special rugged charm? A used Swedish army belt might be just the thing. The color can vary from a pale leather color to dark brown. It also appears that there are both vegetable-tanned and chrome-tanned belts in the mix. Also, the width and mileage vary, so these aren’t ideal for formal attire but perfect for rough use. It appears that there are belts from various decades here, also possibly from the WWII era.
We got a pretty wide variety of belts and thought that the most practical approach is to sort these into different lengths. That is usually the most important feature after all. However, the width can also vary within one length at least between 35-45 mm (1.4" x 1.8"). The thickness can also vary a bit but not that much to make a difference. Furthermore, the belts can be a few cm longer than what’s claimed. In any case, rather take a bit too long and make extra holes than just barely long enough and eat yourself out of the measurements.
Used Swedish military surplus. The mileage varies from quite nicely used office belts to more heavily used field belts with dark patina. On the back side, you might find some stamp marks or scribblings. The belts with a brass buckle can also have small green spots on the buckle. All of them are still intact and perfectly usable. The leather hasn’t gotten stiff and brittle with age. Nevertheless, you should grease old leather products to keep them supple.
