Shrapnel protection for the vulnerable neck and shoulders area is quite valuable this add-on offers just that. This particular protector was designed for Sioen's own Tacticum series of body armour and plate carriers, the attachment system utilizes hook-and-loop which are found on the shoulders and upper back of the vests/carriers. Due to the particular design, we´d say that these are not directly compatible with most other vests/carriers on the market.

There are many standards but this one is the most common in Europe and widely used worldwide. Soft panels offer IIIA at most, from there it's hard plates.

Made by Sioen Ballistics
The Tacticum series of body armour was originally developed and produced by Verseidag Ballistic Protection (one of Finlands leading producers of ballistic equipment and a huge supplier of the Finnish defence forces). In 2017 Belgium based Sioen purchased Verseidag, the gear is still the same only under another name.
