A low-cut version of the Salomon XA Forces sneakers. These have a superb fit & comfort and provide protection, while the subdued colors mean these are suitable for military/LE use, or for anyone who doesn’t like to wear a bright logo. Lined with waterproof Gore-Tex.
Sizes listed in UK size, then the comparable EU size. Foot length in millimeters is also found in the chart below. The last width on these is regular which fits most people and conforms to the foot shape a bit. If you own Salomon footwear already, pick the same size.
Find a sheet of paper, a ruler, and a pen. Make sure that you are wearing the same socks that you would normally wear with this type of shoes.
Stand on the sheet of paper and draw a line just in front of your big toe and behind the heel. Try to keep the pen upright, don't angle it under your foot. There might be a slight difference between your left and right foot – measure both to be sure.
Measure the longest distance between the lines and find this measurement in the chart. If you fall between sizes, pick the larger one. A couple of mm extra length of a shoe doesn't hurt, but even a slightly too short shoe is bad.
Exceptions: if you have very narrow feet, rounding down to the nearest smaller size may be fine and offer a better fit. Conversely, people with very wide feet may want to size up half or even a full size.
The Salomon XA Forces are made to endure hard use where regular sneakers quickly fall apart. Materials and details have been iterated from one version to another to achieve a very high-grade shoe.
Made in Vietnam or Cambodia with tough specs and QC.
