The tried and tested ceramic depth filter Katadyn Pocket removes bacteria, protozoa, and other disease-causing agents. It can filter both clear and muddy water. The micro-organisms cannot pass through the 0.2-micron pores of the filter ceramic. Viruses are smaller than this, so it won’t filter those. If you suspect that these buggers are lurking in the water, use water purification tablets together with the filter. Unlike disposable filters, the ceramic can be cleaned several times - even in the field. The included measuring gauge indicates when the filter element should be changed.

It features an improved, round pump handle for better ergonomics and an outlet hose that can be attached to water containers with a simple clip. Made from durable aluminum, stainless steel, silicone, and ceramic. It has very few movable parts so maintenance is simple.
