Here you have a handy black 35-40 L backpack from the naval forces of the Boot of Europe. These can take a beating in and around the bush, yet they are also perfectly suited for everyday city use.
This backpack has padded and adjustable shoulder straps with the yellow text "Marina Militare". The same text is also found on the flap that closes the pack. There is no sternum strap or waist belt, but they aren’t a must on an everyday pack unless you plan on hauling a pile of rocks through the cold and dark badlands.
The main compartment is closed with two buckles. Furthermore, the opening has a drawstring closure at two levels, so overpacking is very easy when needed. There are no other compartments inside. However, on the outside, you have two largeish side pouches and two smaller pouches at the back. All these pouches have a velcro closure. The pack also features a carrying handle at the top.
Material data isn’t given, but it is some strong synthetic stuff most likely. The color is that fashionable blueish-black. The capacity isn’t given, we would guesstimate it is around 35-40 liters. The weight when empty is about 850 grams (1.9 lbs).
This is a perfect general-purpose backpack. Easy to carry in the city and will fit a lot of beer if you get thirsty on the way. Also works as a sturdy daypack in the wilderness.
Used Italian navy surplus. The condition varies. Some look like they haven’t been used at all, and some have seen more use. So, the colors can be faded, and they can also be a bit dirty. But they are all still perfectly serviceable.
