Oh là là! A magnifique French TAP bag/parachute bag from the 70s-80s. The beloved child has many names. This is as fashionable as they come today and maybe a ghastly monstrosity tomorrow, but the day after that it is fantastic again. In case you don’t give a rat’s ass about fashion, it is still a cool, lightweight, and practical bag for all things weird and wonderful.
Quite a nicely sized bag, measuring c. 65 x 40 x 25 cm (25.5” x 16” x 10”). Then again this is pretty much a soft frameless blob so measuring it isn’t particularly fun, and the measurements change depending on what you shove in the bag. So, it isn’t engineering, more like art. Don’t be sad if it is a bit more here or there.
The bag has one big compartment and two Eclair zippers that open outward. Furthermore, there are two carrying handles but no shoulder strap. The colors vary a bit from more greenish to more brownish. In other words, some are darker and others lighter. These are made of slightly water-repellent Nylon. Made in France by Aerazur.
French military surplus, they look very little used, some even unissued. They can be a bit wrinkled in the storage of course. And the colors can be a bit faded, these are fairly old after all.
