Hey, do you need a pair of long johns with an absolutely non-elastic waist and fabric as coarse as the Marlboro man's stubble? You landed absolutely on the right page here! These old-school French long johns will teach you some manners. A one-off lot, only a few dozen pairs.
As the pictures show, these are extremely practical with their quick-draw fly with a couple of buttons above it. The waistband is adjusted with an advanced button-up strap system on the back. If it's the wrong size, just move the buttons to a different location! You can also just sew on more buttons if you plan on yoyoing with your weight.
Judging by the coarseness, the fabric is a wool/cotton blend. It is moderately stretchy and becomes like your second skin. You can try to wash these at 40 degrees Celsius (104 F), but we have no idea whether they will shrink or not. Air dry only.
The size system is technically very simple; the first number is the length of the outer seam from the waist to the cuff in centimeters, and the other one is the maximum circumference of the waist. It can be adjusted a bit by changing the button placement.
The waist might seem small, but you need to remember that just like with all proper underwear, the waist is measured at the belly button. Besides, these need to be snug because the waistband won’t stretch at all.
These appear unused, but we don’t know whether someone has secretly tried these on in some dark storage bunker. In any case, they are old. Some of them were made just after WWII!
